There are 3 restaurants within the old Palazzo, San Andrea Restaurant, Castelletti Salumeria & Patisserie and the RedWhite Trattoria. The courtyard setting of the ground floor restaurants is calm and tranquil, whilst the roof top (lift access) Trattoria terrace is more of a lively brassiere, which may have better dishes for children. Going twice and at night the ground floor San Andrea was our favourite (see separate review). The service throughout was attentive and courteous and the brassiere offered good value for money.
We stopped in this restaurant for the lunch in Rabat. We have choose a chicken salad and a panini. The presentation of the meal is very beautiful. It was delicious. We are French, we were surprised and delighted to hear of French music during our meal. We paid only 17€ for two. We are here for two months, I think that we will back soon in your restaurant! Thank you for this moment.
We were just wandering around Rabat and stopped here for a late lunch. We were very warmly greeted and seated in the courtyard. Since it was mid afternoon we had it practically to ourselves amid the lovely flowers and the musical fountain. We had a bean dip appetizer to start and then ample and delicious sandwiches to follow with wine and beer. Just a lovely time. Service was outstanding. I'd like to try it for dinner next visit.
The 3rd time i have visited with friends and sat in courtyard during lunchtime.I return as i enjoy the atmosphere,peace and tranquilitywhich Castelletti offers.Cannot wait to return on next trip to Malta. Thanks
I booked Castelletti Salumeria & Patisserie for my friend's baby shower for afternoon tea on a Saturday. We were quite a large group. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. The staff very friendly and courteous.
From the service, to the wine recommendations to the food... everything was great about our evening at Castelletti. A hidden gem in peaceful Rabat!
